Lenz's law states that, If an induced current flows, its direction is always such that it will oppose the change which produced it.

According to lenz law, induced current will appear in such a direction that it will oppose the change in magnetic flux which is responsible for itsinduction.

Lenz's law, named after the physicist Emil Lenz who formulated it in 1834, states that the direction of the current induced in a conductor by a changing magnetic field is such that the magnetic field created by the induced current opposes the initial changing magnetic field.
