Pressure belts are seasonally identical horizontal pressure variations created in the earth’s atmosphere just above the earth’s surface due to seasonal and spatial variation of energy received by the earth at different places. The unequal heating of the earth and its atmosphere by the sun, because of revolution of the earth on its tilted axis causes difference in pressure. This leads to the formation of pressure belts around the earth.
