Divide 32 into four parts which are in A. P such that the product of extremes is to the product of mean is 7:15 .

Let the four parts be (a - 3d), (a -d), (a + d) and (a + 3d)
Given (a - 2d) + (a -d) + (a + d) +(a + d) = 32
4a = 32
Hence, a = 8
Given (a - 3d)(a + 3d)/(a - d)(a + d) = 7/15
15(a² - 9d²) = 7(a² - d²)
128d² = 8a²
= 8 x 64
d² = 4
Therefore, d = ± 2
So the AP is 2,6,10,14 or 14,10,6,2
