It is also called auto mobile cell.It is an example of secondary cell. In these battery there is a polymer cointainer in whivh lead and lead oxide are used as electrode. H2SO4 38% by mass having specific gravity 1.3 is used as electrolyte & it provides an energy of 2v . Cell reacñ At anode Pb+ SO4²– -> PbSO4 +2e– At cathode PbO2+SO4²–+4H+ + 2 e– -> PbSO4+2H2O
