Let the value of x in 3x+y=1 be 1 suppose (assumed) 3+y=1 y=3-1 y=2 Now in eq.px+2y=5 y=2 px+2(2)=5 px+4=5 Let x be 1 p+4=5 p=5-4 p=1 Please correct me if i am wrong
