(3x+5y)² =9x²+25y² +30xy (3x+5y)²=181 + 30*-6 (3x+5y)²=181-180 (3x+5y)²=1 3x+5y=1

xy product can be 6 iff there are (1,6), (2,3),(3,2) or (6,1) as x and y soo by putting values of x,y in the equation we got (3,2 ) as solution But the condition is xy=-6 So x could be negative or y could be negative Hence there are two solutions of the eqn. 3x+5y , it could be (-3,2) or (3,-2) thats why we get different results as well for first solution we get 1 as the answer and -1 for the latter one. Therefore the equation would have positive or negative unity.
