2) In phenol C is double bonded atom hence it is more electronegative so it attracts the OH but in methanol C is single bonded and is less electronegative ,hence has longer bond lengh than in phenol.

1) In p-nitrophenol, NO2 is an electron withdrawing grp which makes the conjugate system easy to release H+, Whereas , In p- methylphenol CH3 is an electron donour which reduces the acidity & makes difficult to release H+
