Let x letre water to be added then total mixure =(1125) The resulting mixure will contain more than 25% but less than 30% =30% of( x+1125)>45%of1125 -(1) And25%of (x+1125)<45%of 1125 -(2) (1) equation Now 30/100(x+1125)>45/100(1125) =30x +33750>50625 =30x>50625-33750 =30x>16875 =x >562.5 Now equation (2) 25% of(x +1125)< 45% of 1125 =25/100(x +1125)< 45/100(1125) =25x +28125 < 50625 =25x < 50625-28125 =25x < 22500 =x <900 The water will be added more than 562.5 letres and less than 900 letres
