    Narmada Bachao Andolan mobilised tribal people,farmers, envioronmentalists and human rights activists against the Sardar Sarovar Dam being built across the Narmada river in Gujarat.It originally focused on the envioronmental issues related to trees that would be submerged under the dam and against the number of large dams being built across the Narmada River, which flows through the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.The Narmada Tribunal aimed to set out conditions regarding the resettlement and rehabilitation of those displaced by the dams.

Narmada bachao andolan or save narmada movement is a non government organisation that mobilised tribal people ,farmer,human rights actuvities and environmentalists against the sardar sarovar dam being built across narmada river in gujrat 2. It origunally focused on the environmental issues related to tree taht would be submerged under dam water
