Swadeshi movement was a part of the Indian national movement. It aimed at achieving the Indian independence by striking at the economic interests of the British Empire. It was an economic strategy which involved the boycott of foreign goods and use of home goods manufactured in India. Swadeshi movement led to the growth of the Indian indigenous industries.
