A leaf is said to be simple, when it's lamina is entire or when incised ,the incisions do not touch the midrib....What is meant by this statemen. Plzz elaborate it in simple understandable language

Its very simple.. see! -- When lamina is not incised (cut) into leaflets then the leaf in simple . or, when it is incised , the line of incision do not touch the midrib. then it is simple. Remeber that sometime a single leaf is incised into many leaflets . This is a comlound leaf. Incision means Cut. A leaf whether it is compound or simpe, has bud in its base. But the leaflets (a single piece of a compound leaf) has not bud .
