Right to vote is important because:
1. A directly elected government is one that has the approval of the people. This means that the government consists of the people's representatives.
2. When the government is directly elected by the people, there will be more co-operation and obedience of laws among the masses, because after all why wouldn't you obey the people whom you voted into power.
3. Less chances of revolutions among the people because the people themselves have elected their government. They've got to like it.
