We are following democracy because:

It is more accountable form of government.

Quality of decision making is better in democracy.

In a country where people belong to different regions,speak different languages,practice different religions and caste differences and conflicts are bound to take place and they can only be sorted peacefully in democracy.

Democracy enhances the dignity of citizens.
