P(x)=x^2+a Given that one zero or root is -3 Then put -3 instead of x (-3)^2+a=0 9+a=0 a=-9

x2 +a+3=0 a=x x2+x+3=0 D = 1-4×1×1=3 X = -1+√3/2 & -1-√3/2

Putting x= -3 we get a= -9 After factoring it i.e. (x-3)(x+3) We get +3 is another zero
