1. In basidomycetes, asexual spores are absent  while in deutromycetes, asexual spores known as conidia is the only form of reproduction.
2. In basidomycetes, sexual reproduction takes pace by the formation of basidiospores while in deutromycetes, sexual reproduction is not known.
