Merismetic tissue is that tissue which has the power to divide again and again and it helps in the growth of plants.It is of three types:- 1 APICAL MERISTEM:-It is present at the apex(top) of the plant and it helps in increasing the length of the plant. 2 LATERAL MERISTEM:-It is present in the perifree (sides )of the plant and helps in the growth of the width of the plant. 3 INTERCALARY MERISTEM:-It is present below thw nodes of the leaf and helps in the growth of plant's leaves.
