Parallax is a phenomenon in which when an object is seen from different points , its positions seems to vary . The angle opposite to the basis ( line between two observing points). We can find the distance of nearby stars by ovserving that star through telescope from two different positions of the earth . For very distant star the parallactic angle becomes very small and almost 0.
