Long ago their was a supercontinent peninsular pleatue (gondwana land) it contain modern day India ,Australia,south Africa, south america and Antarctica. Due to convectional currents it spilt into no. Of pieces . This result in drifting of indo -Australian plate toward north and collision of it from much larger plate called Eurasian plate .due to the collision the sedimentary rocks which were accumulated in geocyline
