A train covered a certain distance at a uniform speed. If the train would have taken 112hrs more than the scheduled time. And if the train were 6km/h faster, it would have taken 88hrs less than the scheduled time. Find the distance covered by the train.

Let the speed of the train be x km/h. Let the time taken by the train be y hrs. So, distance =xy km. A/q. xy = x(y+112)...............(1) now, xy= (x+6)(y-88)..............(2) now solve the equations and you will get the answer
