The philosophers who contributed during the french revolution are as follows: *John locke *Montessquieu *Jean Jacques Rousseau John locke He proposed a book 'Two treatises of the government'.Through this book he sought to refute the doctrine of the divine and the absolute right to monarch. Montesquieu Throgh his book 'The spirit of law',he prosed a division of power within the government the Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. Jean Jacques Rousseau His book is 'the social contract'.According to him the government must be based on a contract between people and their representatives.
