The Tropic of Cancer is the latitude where the sun can be seen exactly overhead during the northern solstice. Ahmedabad and Delhi lie in the Tropic of Cancer so they can see the noon Sun exactly overhead but Delhi cannot because it lies above the Tropic of Cancer.
