article 370 treat Jammu and Kashmir as a special state .in which non kashmirian citizen can not buy land .central goerment can not force kashmir government. at the time of division of country the king jammu was hari singh who was a hindu where yhe majority of citizen was muslim .hari din want to combine with india where as citizen wanted to combine with Pakistan so after to much discussion he(hari singh) decided to live or form a separate country . after pakistan attacks on kashmir to occupy it than hari singh ready to combine with India .he said to jawaharlal nehru .but he said that you have to treat jammu kashmir as special state .then nehru stops the pakistan army and tha place or area is known as LOC (line of control).
