When people discover some unity that binds them together,nationalism spread in their hearts.People belonging to different communities,regions or language groups developed a sense of belonging through the experience of united struggles.There were also a variety of cultural processes through which nationalism captured people's imagination.History and fiction,folklore and songs,popular prints and symbols,all played a part in the making of nationalism.

It starts with the feeling of being united with nation or country as firstly Mahatma Gandhi has believed it to the people that they are united and fought against the Britishers with non-violent methods. So, hopefully he firstly started to unite the nation and believed to the people that they are equal
