(A) spherical lens------ it is a point on principal axis where light rays parallel to each othe and parallel to principal axis after refeaction either meet actually on other side(in case of convex lens or converging lens) or appears to meet o same side(incase of concavelens or divergimg lens) as that of object is called as principal focus of spherical lenses (B)spherical mirrors----it is a point on principal axis where light rays parallel to each other and principal axis after reflection either actually met(in case of concave mirror ) or apears to meet(in case of convex mirror) at that point is called principal focus of spherical mirors
