1. ALLUVIAL SOIL--> Mostly north-eastern plains are covered with alluvial soil.It is very fertile and is good for cultivation of wheat and rice.It is divided into two alluviu - Khadar (new alluvial) Bangar( old alluvial).... 2. BLACK SOIL--> It is found in regions of punjab,haryana, Rajasthan .it is black in colour and is known as regur or Black cotton soil.it is good for the growth of cotton.......... 3.LATERITE SoIL--> It means brick. It's humus content is low.it is good for the growth of tea, coffee and cashew nuts......... 4.RED and YELLOW SOIL--> it is found in the parts of odisha,chattisgarh etc,.it develops a reddish colour due to iron and yellow when it occurs in dehydrated form....... ......... ............
