p(x)=3x^2+4x-4 here a=3,b=4 and c=-4 ( by comparison with ax^2+bx+c)
for x=0
p(x)=o
3x^2+4x-4=0
3x^2+6x-2x-4=0
3x(x+2)-2(x+2)=0
(3x-2)(x+2)=0

therefore x=2/3 or x=-2
let,
alpha=2/3
beta=-2

now, alpha+beta= -b/a
2/3-2=-4/3
-4/3=-4/3
similarly,
alpha x beta= c/a
2/3 x -2 = -4/3
-4/3 = -4/3

hence verified
