Put x=8 in f(x) we get 8square - 10×8 + k=0 We get 64-80+k=0 Or k=80-64=16 So k=16

f (x) = x square - 10x + k f (8) = (8×8) - (10×8) + k 64 - 80 + k = 0 -16 + k = 0 k = 16
