Mahabharata was written between the period of 5th C.BCE to 2nd C.BCE by ved vyasa but a person can not live for 700 years so we can't sahy that ved vyasa was the only writer of mahabharata. It was written in simple sanskrit language. It consists of 100000 verses. The mahabharata was divided into two parts one which called narrative in which all the stories written and second part was called didactic where all the norms were written.
