Let's 2√2 is a rational number 2√2/1=p/q 2√2q=p 2√2=p/q Because p/q is a rational number Therefore 2√2 is a rational number We known that 2√3 is a irrational number Therefore the contradiction arises by assuming 2√2 is a rational number Thus 2√2 is a rational number
