    HDI stands for human development index.it is used to measure the level of development of a country.It is published by UNDP(United Nation Development Plan). According to this countries have been ranked on the basis of development.it is a comprehensive approach which covers all the major aspects of life.Apart from income, education,health status,life expectancy are considered important for measuring economic development of a country.
