When a number is in the form of p/q or that can be expressed in the form of p/q where q is no equal to 0 and p & q are integers , then we can say that the number is rational number. Example :- 2 , 3 , 5/6,2/3 , -5 , -6 , 0 , etc That is right that 'pie' is not rational number it is irrational number because pie is the ratio of circumference an diameter of a circle . If we measure the circle of any radius CORRECTLY we get a number which is not rational... that number is irrational . And now moving on to the 22 upon 7.... it is the approximate value of that ratio.. 22/7 is the not the exact value of that ratio of circumference and diameter of circle.. Hence 'pie' is irrational but 22/7 and all is rational number ........???
