Manure and fertilizers are useful for the crop but differently:
A manure is not rich in essential plant nutrients like Nirogen, Phosphorus and Potassium but fertilizers provide these essential nutrients. So we can say fertilizers are nutrient specific.
A manure provides lots of organic matter like humus to the soil , whereas , a fertiliser does not provide any humus to the soil. So manure increases the binding capacity of the soil.
A manure is absorbed slowly by the plants because it is not much soluble in water , whereas , being soluble in water , a fertiliser is readily absorbed by the plants . So the soluble nature of the fertilizers make them more useful.
