Advantages are 1.it is used for generate power in industries. 2. Navigation and recreation activities can be done at the site. 3.Dams are helpful in controlling Flood. 4. Due to availability of water fish breeding can be done. 5.water are stored in dams which is used for irrigation. Disadvantages are1. They have an adverse impact on the fertility of soil. 2 local people are forced due to these large project. They have to adopt new profession. 3.Dams are helpful in controlling flood have trigged flood due to sedimentation in the reservoir.
