Positive effects: •Use of HYV seeds increased the yield. •Use of insecticidesand pesticides decreased the number of crops ruined by pests and insects. •Use of technology like tractors, threshers etc made the work done faster and easier. •Production of surplus(more) crops made the farmers earn more profit. Negative effects: •Decreased water table level due to overuse of groundwater •Overuse of chemical fertilizers ruined the fertility of soil. •Farm labourers couldn't find job. •Imbalance in farmers as the rich became more rich while the poor became more poor.
