I don't think it will come for 8 maks but may come for 2 or 4, his confusion was that he referred to the book left Chinese pilgrims who visited india in 4 century to stdy the aryesfacts found at sites . This led him to palce the artefact found at sites in the wrong classification of time,because just like many he thought that indian history begans with ganga valley. This led to the lost of significance of artefacts.
