The sun rises two hours earlier in Arunachal Pradesh as compared to Gujarat in the West but the watches show the same time. Please tell me short type answer

    India's longitudinal extend of east west covers a distance of about 30 degree . So from arunachal to Gujarat is a time lag of two hours . Hence time along the standard meridian (82 and half ) passing to mirzapur in uttar Pradesh is taken as the standard time for the whole country to svoid the confusion created by different local time . This time is excepted for whole country, that's why the watches shows the time
