    p(x)=2xcube+5xsquare-3x-2 Let, x-1=0 x=1 put the value of x in given equation,we get, p(1)=2×(1)cube+5×(1)square-3×1-2 =2+5-3-2 =7-5 =2 So,x-1 is not a factor of p(x).
