a2+a2=a3+a1 2a2=a3+a1 putting the values 2(p+10)=3p+2+2p 2p+20=5p+2 2p-5p=2-20 -3p= -18 p=-18/ -3 here minus cuts minus so we are left with 18/3 =6 therefore p=6
