Because on hearing that her friend Loona Bimberton had been carried eleven miles in an aeroplane for killing a tiger which made her famous and her photo was posed in many newspapers, magazines etc. So Mrs. Packletide decided to kill a tiger and invite her at lunch and show off herself.
