As the srilankan government followed a majoritarianism form of govt which was only in the favour of sinhale community and was against the tamils . To get the rights back they started a civil war by forming a terrorist group called as LTTE. ????

Tamil started a civil war as they were not given rights , jobs , independent area to live , and Tamil was not recognised as official language.
