The major social groups are the Sri Lankan speakers 74% and Tamil speakers 18% among the mail There are two subgroups Tamil letters of the country called Sri Lankan Tamils 13% the rest who is for father came from India as plantation worker during colonial period are called Indian Tamil Sri Lankan Tamils are considered in the north and east of the country most of the Sinhala speaking people are Buddhist while Most of Tamil followed Hindus and Muslims religion there are about 7% of Christians who are born tail Sri Lankan
