Slaked lime is chemically calcium hydroxide, and its chemical formula is Ca(OH)2 . It is a white coloured solid which is obtained when water is added to calcium oxide (CaO).
CaO + H2O → Ca(OH)2
Lime water on the other hand is a saturated solution of slaked lime in water.
