Let us considered original speed be xkm/h t=s/d A. T. Q. 63/x. =i When train increased its speed= 72/x+6. =i A. T. Q. =63/x +72/x+6=3 By L. C. M. =63x+378+72x/(x)(x+6) =135x+378/x²+6x By cross multiplication =135x+378=3x²+18x =135x-18x+378=3x² =117x+378=3x² =3x²-117-378 D =b²-4ac = 117²-(4).(3).(-378) =13689+4536 =18225 =x=-b+-√d/2a =x=-(-117)+-√18225 =117+-135=252/6. =42 or. -18/6=-3 = since speed cannot be negative we take speed=42 km/h
