X+y=30 X=30-y Put value of x in x-y=14 30-y-y=14 -2y=14-30 -2y=-16 y=8 (because minus cancel wth minus and we divide 2 by 16) Put value of y in x +y=30 X+8=30 X=30-8 X=22 So,the value of x and y is 22 and 8
