xy/x+y=2/3;xy/y-x=2 xy/x+y=2/3 3xy=2x+2y Dividing both sides by xy we get, 2x+2y/xy=3 2/y+2/x=3 -1 similarly, xy/y-x=2 will be 2/x-2/y=1 -2 Let,1/x=u and 1/y=v Then, eq. 1 and 2 will become 2v+2u=3 -3 2u-2v=1 -4 Adding eq.3 and 4 4u=4 u=1 putting in eq.3 we get, v=1/2 Now, u=1/x 1/x =1/1 x=1 v=1/y 1/y=1/2 y=2
