Let us assume,5+2√5 is a rational no. 3+2√5=a//b. (b is not = 0) 2√5=a/b-5 2√5=a-5b/2b √5=a-5b/2b since,a-5b/2b is a rational no.and √5is a irrational no. Therefore,rational no.can never be equal to irrational no. Hence,Our assumption was wrong 5+2√5 is an irrational no.
