Open stomata where exchange of gases takes place during daytimes.This happens in stomatal pores.This is a tiny opening which help plant to breathe.This pores are found in plant tissue.This condition are conductive to stomatal opening. ... Closed stomata happens in night time.Here the stomata get closed.Therefore no exchange of gas take place.The cell is in plasmolysed result in closure of stomata.

In open stomata exchange of gases can take place but in closed gaseous exchange cannot occur
