Alluvial - very fertile, divided into Khadar , bhangar ,Terai Black - consists of fine clay material,high water holding capacity, develops deep cracks during summer Red & yellow - develops reddish colour due to presence of Iron in it , looks yellow in it's hyderated form not good water holding capacity, requires fertilizers Laterite - low humas content , climatic condition-heavy rain, high temperature & requires fertilizers Arid - red to brown in colour , sandy in texture , saline in nature Forest - soil texture varies according to environment , acidic , low humas in snow covered areas That's it..
