Let one zero of the quadratic polynomial is {tex} \alpha {/tex} and other is 8.
Then, product of zeroes = -56
{tex} \Rightarrow 8 \times \alpha {/tex} = - 5
{tex}\Rightarrow \alpha = - 7{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow 8 + \alpha = 8- 7 = 1{/tex}
Also , quadratic polynomial is x2 -(sum of zeroes )x + product of zeroes
{tex}\Rightarrow {x^2} - x - 56{/tex}
