Tropical Evergreen Forests Deciduous Forests
(i) These forests are also known as Tropical Rain Forests. (i) These forests are also known as Monsoon forests.
(ii) These forests do not shed their leaves. (ii) These forests shed their leaves during summer.
(iii) These forests are found in areas receiving more than 200 cm of annual rainfall. (iii) These forests are found in areas receiving annual rainfall between 70-200 cm.
(iv) Ebony, Mahogany and Rosewood are typical trees of these forests. (iv) Teak, sal, sandal are important trees of these forests.
